Feeling Discourage And Disappointed?

Discouragement and disappointment are normal emotions we all go through as human being,  even as Christians, but it’s important to know how to make sure those debilitating emotions don’t get the best of us.
let’s take a look at the reasons why we get discouraged and disappointed.
Job felt discouraged with his wife and friends. because he felt They didn’t  understand him In the midst of his suffering and questioning God, although probably they tried to be helpful, but they ended up heaping more shame and blame on Jobs  afflictions.

We, too, can feel let down by our friends and family. And sometimes youd probably hoped They’d understand  what you're going through at the moment of your afflictions or at least not being critical of your situation but rather you'd hope they would offer help as you  wish they would.
Our disappointment can quickly  turn to discouragement.

And if we look and take a moment on to read 1 kings 18 and chapter 19 Elijah who  is bold and courageous, victoriously facing all kinds of odds
“the hand of the Lord was on Elijah,  girded up his loins and outran Ahab to Jezreel.” Elijah experienced God’s supernatural strength to do the extraordinary

However if read chapter 19 .   We will find that Elijah was fearful, running scared, exhausted, he was in deep depression,to the point that he had ask God to let him die.

Just like the out of character of Elijah, who see a situation,he was fearful felt discouraged, exhausted, and told himself that his entire ministry was just a waste (1 Kings 19).
Perhaps the first lesson you and I can learn from Elijah’s response concerning expectations and their impact on us. Even when we are expecting something different, more positive outcome.

His expectations may have moved in the sense of demandingness. Those expectations will derail us as they become demands of our heart.
In reality God is holding us responsible for trusting Him for love,  obedience and faithfulness to do what He has called us to do.We are not responsible for the results, God is.

The results are in His hands, not ours.We can’t change people’s mind and often we cant change our situation, only God can. Sometimes, if we are not careful, our expectations can easily become a sense of demandingness, that things work out the way we think they should without us knowing sometimes that it is a temptation of overthrowing Gods sovereignty and acting as though we are the potter, the captain of our souls, the master of our destiny like were the all wise potter lest we forget God is the one who is enthroned. We are just His clay. God is indeed in control. Not you!
Nowhere in this chapter do we find Elijah calling on the Lord nor seeking His direction. The problem was not that he arose and ran, or went down to the desert to hide. It was that he did so without God’s direction and without God as his primary shelter. For some things we may thought that we don’t need God’s intervening direction.
just like If we get a headache, we take medicine.
Asa’s sin in 2 Chronicles 16:12 was not that he sought help from the physicians, as he developed a foot disease. Though his disease was severe, he did not seek the Lord, but only the doctors. He excluded God.
5:1saiah 55:11,6:9-11 In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.” 6:9 He said, “Go and tell these people: ‘Listen continually, but don’t understand! Look continually, but don’t perceive!’ 10 Make the hearts of these people calloused; make their ears deaf and their eyes blind! Otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, their hearts might understand and they might repent and be healed.” 11 I replied, “How long, sovereign master?” He said, “Until cities are in ruins and unpopulated, and houses are uninhabited, and the land is ruined and devastated,, Heb 3:18-19 it says And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient? 19 So we see that they could not enter because of unbelief. 4:1 Therefore we must be wary that, while the promise of entering his rest remains open, none of you may seem to have come short of it. 2 For we had good news proclaimed to us just as they did. But the message they heard did them no good, since they did not join in with those who heard it in faith. 1,6:9-11 In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing.
